Like I’ve said, I love finding ways to upcycle materials in my work. I wear contacts and have been collecting the single use cases they ship in for some time. I was struggling to find an innovative way to incorporate them into my art. One day I saw someone with a 3D eyeball phone case and I knew immediately I wanted to recreate the concept using the cases. Thus my eyeball art was formed. I create them by painting the inside of the plastic case, then add the eyes to a hard canvas with clay, and finally paint it over with acrylics! I like to make creepy goopy eyes, but also dragon eyes because why not! Take a look at what I make:
