I have the honor of being apart of my first art gallery! For the month of October I will have my work showcased at Urban Arts Gallery in Salt Lake City, Utah. The theme of the showcase is “devil in the details”. With that theme in mind I played around with the concepts of good vs evil and death. I find a great fascination with our perception of death and how every person has their own set of beliefs. I am also captivated by religion and its effect on individuals line of thinking. You will see in my work I often use a lil skeleton guy. I use the skeleton for a few reasons. When we die, the thing that lasts is our bones, it is the final piece of us that stays on earth. IT also removes barriers of race, gender, sexuality, and so much more. You cannot make snap judgments of a person based on their bones, and that creates the opportunity to connect deeply.
